Drowning man picture story

The wave caught him unawares, tossing him like a rag doll until the undertow caught hold of him, pulling him down to the great depths of the North Sea.  At first he struggled, but soon realised the futility of this and just relaxed, slowly running out of breath.  Down, down, down the strong current dragged him, until all was dark and the only sensation he felt was the burning pain in his oxygen starved lungs.  He lost all sense of motion and seemed to hang endlessly in the obsidian depths, until he saw a light approach, slowly at first, then quickly increasing in size, until suddenly a maelstrom was upon him and he was cast through the air in a plume of water onto a crystal white beach where nearby a man lay on the beach.

The man took off his sunglasses and looked at him with a bemused expression on his tanned, wrinkled face, “Crikey, mate, you look like you could do with a nice cold beer!”"
